  • Yaiwan Booker

    PRESIDENT

    Yaiwan Booker was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Bishop Dunne High School. She is currently a senior mechanical engineering major at Prairie View A&M University. In addition to NSBE she is a member of NAACP Youth and College Council. Yaiwan previously served as the Programs Chair las year, Business Diversity Chair the year before, and the New Members Chair the year before that. She is now the Pres dent for the 2024-2025 school year. Yaiwan plans to graduate with her Bachelor’s degree and pursue her master’s in manufacturing. Yaiwan is active in performing arts groups where she displays her talents such as singing and dancing.

  • Royal Williams

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Royal Williams attended Manor New Technology High School before earning her diploma. She is a rising senior at Prairie View A&M University, where she is majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Supply Chain Management. Apart from NSBE, Royal serves P3 being a mentor for first- and second-year students at Prairie View University, the Engineering Student Leadership Program, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and a Representative Board of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Royal was our NSBE chapter's previous International Chair. After earning her bachelor's degree, Royal intends to work in the oil and gas sector.

  • Cecil Mosley

    SECRETARY

    Cecil Mosley was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School with an IB Diploma. He is currently a Junior studying Civil Engineering at PVAMU. He is also a member of the Honors Program, Men Achieving Leadership Excellence, as well as Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Cecil spends time working as a Peer Tutor in the University Tutoring Center, as well as being a mentor in Honors, M.A.L.E, and NSBE. Cecil served as the Public Relations Chair and Freshman Executive Board Secretary previously. He hopes to help build up future generations and leave them with the skills and knowledge to pursue their dreams.

  • Carl Simon

    PROGRAMS CHAIR

    Carl Simon, Born and raised in Houston, Texas, is a rising Senior Majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in computer science at Prairie View A&M University. Carl is serving as the 2024 - 2025 Programs Chair. Carl Previously served as the 2023 - 2024 business diversity chair. In addition to NSBE, Carl is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Brothers Leading and Cultivating Knowledge, Men Achieving Leadership Excellence, and the PVAMU Robotics Club. Carl hopes to provide engineers with as many opportunities as possible while ensuring they’re dreaming big and know they’re capable of pursuing any opportunity. Carl’s future plans are to graduate with his Bachelor’s degree and pursue graduate studies while finding creative and effective ways to give back to communities in need.

  • Joshua Mays

    TREASURER

    Joshua Mays was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but he was raised in Rogers, Arkansas. He graduated from Rogers High school in the top 15%. He was also a part of the basketball team. He is currently a senior Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in computer science. In addition to NSBE, Josh is apart of Robotics Club, PVAMU Honors Program, B.L.A.C.K, and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity inc. Josh previously served as the 2023-2024 treasurer 2022-2023 fundraising chair, and the 2021-2022 freshman executive board treasure. Josh plans to graduate with his bachelors degree and pursue his masters in robotics. He enjoys working out, playing basketball, and hanging out with his friends and family.
